Vegas Seven “Best of the City 2012″ Award Winner

I was beyond floored when I found out that I won a Best of the City 2012 Awards by the Vegas Seven magazine for “Best reason to fall in love.” It’s an honor to get recognized for my wedding and engagement photography by the local Las Vegas community. I’m sure it’s not to be taken literally, but I think it’s super cute and creative and not your standard “Best Photographer” award. Some of their awards are hilarious like “Best Surprise Appearance of Kimchi” – which goes to one of my favorite eateries, Buldogis, a Korean hot dog joint. Their awards remind me of the MTV Movie Awards, where they give out quirky awards like “Best Kiss” and “Best On-Screen Dirtbag” in addition to their traditional awards.

If you’ve never heard of Vegas Seven, it’s a free weekly magazine in town where you can find at hundreds of locations in Las Vegas. It’s an incredible resource to find out what’s happening around town, like what shows to see, which nightclubs to hang out at, where to eat, etc. I like how they cater to both tourists and locals, where as some other magazines are geared towards only tourists. You still have a few more days to pick up your own copy if you don’t have one already or you can read the entire issue online.
