I’m so excited to share this latest session with you. I have so many favorites from this session! Kathleen and Damir are such a fun couple and they live right here in Las Vegas. I feel so honored when they told me that they loved my work and wanted to schedule an engagement session right away! They really liked Marah and Seth’s engagement session at Floyd Lamb Park and they did not believe that a park that green exists in Las Vegas! I love this park because it’s so serene, and there’s a lot of cool historical buildings to shoot at as well.

Some couples take some time to warm up to the camera but Kathleen and Damir were naturals in front of the camera. This was one of the first pictures we took and is one of my favorites.

Kathleen’s hair and makeup were done by Stevee Danielle Hair and Makeup. I loved Kathleen’s flirty ponytail!

Kathleen and Damir are a very stylish couple and brought some great outfits for their engagement session. The red top is such a pretty color and fluttered in the breeze. I also love her bright yellow cardigan!

We tried taking a few pictures with the peacocks that roam around the park, but they were a bit shy and kept running away from the us. The geese were not afraid of us at all, and I love how we were able to get not one but two geese in this image!

I loved getting to know Kathleen and Damir that I didn’t want our session to end! We ended up at the cute cafe with the biggest mugs ever, and then we went out to dinner! I have the best clients ever!

Meet Stephanie and Jason. They are proof that you can find love in the unlikeliest places, like at the airport! Yup, they were both in Las Vegas – Stephanie for a bachelorette party and Jason for a job interview, and on their way back home to Ohio, their flight was delayed for several hours. They somehow started chatting and hit it off. So what was bad news for them actually turned out to be a blessing in disguise!

Now they both live in Las Vegas and getting married this November. I can’t wait to photograph their wedding at Anthem Country Club!

I am so excited about how these engagement photos turned out! As a photographer, I spend a lot of time with my couples to create a vision and plan the details of their engagement session so that their images turn out amazing. This session was no exception. While sometimes plans never always work the way you want, everything worked out great in the end and we had such a fun time on this engagement shoot. Most of these were taken downtown, which is a fun mix of vintage and modern.

They both went to Ohio State, so I thought this red wall would be a great tribute to their alma mater! Plus it matches Stephanie’s dress. :)

When I saw these escalators, I had this really cool idea in my head. No escalators were harmed during this photo shoot. Okay, I have to let you in on a little secret: these were non-working escalators so it’s much easier to get a pose like this where they are on opposite escalators!

Sometimes when you’re walking through downtown, you never know what you’ll run into. Like this gargantuan modern wall art.

And no downtown Vegas engagement session is complete without taking a picture with a neon sign. :)

Another one of my favorites. Simply beautiful.

I’ve had my eye on this building for a while but it’s always been too sunny and was always afraid it might be too reflective. I love the modern lines and curves of this building. Luckily it was cloudy during our engagement session, so I was finally able to shoot here!

I had the pleasure of taking engagement pictures of my good friends Vivian and Mark. They are getting married on Saturday in New Jersey, and I am super excited! My first wedding this year as a guest! They’ve lived in Cambridge for the last few years, so it was only fitting to take pictures at Harvard Square where they spent the most time as a couple.

Vivian and Mark at both attending the same business school in the fall, so that’s why Mark is holding up the Harvard Business Review. Vivian is reading for leisure. :)

We shot very early in the morning but the sun was still really bright, so I thought today would be a great day to get a little lens flare!

The month of May was super busy for me because had a lot of engagement sessions, and I’m finally getting around to blogging them all. This is the last one for a while, so soon you’ll be seeing a lot more weddings! Stay tuned!

Jee and Ben are getting married in September and I am so blessed to be photographing their wedding! They are an amazing couple and met up with me on an early Saturday morning so we could shoot without lots of people in the background. Well guess what? Half of Boston was already up and strolling through the parks because it was such a lovely day. I was utterly amazed at how early Bostonians woke up and started their day. So I think I will schedule any future engagement shoots in popular public spaces even earlier now!

Jee and Ben were up for anything (I heart laid-back couples!), so we started the session having a ton of fun and riding the teacup and carousel at Boston Common.

It was incredibly windy that day, but I like how the wind is blowing Jee’s hair in every direction.

We found an amazing tree to shoot under! I’ve been to the Boston Public Gardens several times, and I always find something new there to photograph!

Then we wandered over to Beacon Hill. Jee and Ben live in this neighborhood but they’ve never been to this street, which is one of the most photographed streets in Boston, so I was happy to show them this hidden gem! Streets like these is why I love Boston! We were lucky to the street to ourselves when we were shooting because there were a lot of tourists and another photographer when we left!

Kristen and John are a sweet couple, and we had a ton of fun during their engagement session. They are getting married in New Jersey, but they live in Boston, so they decided to have their engagement photos done here. It ended up being fr-eee-zing and windy on the day of their shoot, but they braved the cold, and we shot the entire session outside! We started in the North End, which was so fun. I probably could have shot the entire shoot in the North End (for you non-Bostonians, that’s Little Italy), but we walked to Faneuil Hall, then ended at the waterfront. I am so lucky to photograph such a beautiful and fun couple! It was definitely hard to pick out some of my favs for the blog because I have so many!

We started in a park in the North End, which had a great view of Boston.

I’ve only been to the North End at night, so I didn’t know that Boston has horse-drawn carriages. We saw a few of them during the engagement session, but we didn’t see any riders. Perhaps everyone was at home gearing up for the Superbowl!

I can’t remember what was so funny but Kristen’s laugh makes me smile! Did I mention how much I love this job?

Crystal & Cody

October 15, 2009

Crystal and Cody are such a cute, laid-back couple, and they got engaged just two weeks ago! They are getting married in Washington state, so they wanted to find a local photographer to take some engagement photos. I was so honored when they chose me! Crystal attends school in Vermont, but she came down for the weekend to take pictures. We couldn’t have picked a better weekend to take pictures at the Boston Public Garden because the weather was gorgeous!

I love how these photos turned out!! There are so many cute places to take pictures at the park, and the fall leaves make it so much prettier (though the leaves hadn’t quite peaked colors when we were there). I heard that almost every couple in Boston takes pictures at the Public Gardens, and we ran into quite a few of them on our shoot! Congrats on your engagement Crystal and Cody!!
