Last weekend, I had an opportunity to photograph Shang and Andrew. They are such a cute couple, and I’m so excited to share their photos with you! Shang (of Shang Chen Photography) was so nice to set up a workshop for a group of assistant photographers, and they were the subjects! We shot outside at a nearby park, and they were good sports to brave the freezing cold. On the bright side, it was so cold that there were no kids playing in the playground, so we were able to shoot in the park all to ourselves with no distractions!

I am so pleased about how these pictures turned out, and now I am no longer a weenie about shooting in the cold (I bought fingerless gloves which really helps!). Anyone else up for a winter shoot?

I am usually assisting Shang on photoshoots, so I don’t really see her interacting with her boyfriend Andrew. I saw a different side of her during the shoot, and I was almost in joyful tears seeing how tender and caring they are with each other. I caught myself several times saying “awww!”

They are playing checkers using acorns!
