Another engagement session is hitting the blog! I have a 3 more sessions in Boston to blog about, one in Chicago, and then I will move to what I am doing in Las Vegas! I am excited about this year so far, and can’t wait to unveil new things soon! I am working on revamping the blog, so stay tuned for more details!

I think Amy and Tim first contacted me in May for a session, but we ended up pushing it all the way to October. So I was looking forward to shooting their engagement session for a long time. And when we finally met up to talk about what kind of engagement session they wanted, I could not have asked for a sweeter couple. They both went to school at Boston College, but didn’t meet each other until they had both graduated and moved to New York. They both thought, “Hey that person looks familiar!” Turns out they recognize each other from school but never actually talked. Until meeting up with friends in New York. Isn’t that crazy! And now they are happily engaged and back in Boston for Tim’s graduate school.

They wanted to shoot in Harvard Square and they wanted a very Cambridge feel, and nothing says Cambridge like ivy growing on the walls. I found a nice patch to play in! I love this picture because their eyes and smile really come out in this picture, and their clothing choices are amazing against this backdrop!

Sometimes I like to tell my couples to ignore that I am there taking pictures of them, so they can loosen up, though sometimes couples get nervous when I don’t give them something to do. But Amy and Tim didn’t need to loosen up much at all because…

We walked around Cambridge some more. This was my third session in Harvard Square, and I always find new backdrops to shoot, i.e., sides of restaurants.

Parking garages are nice too. This garage was exceptionally cool because it was painted a blue-green color.

There aren’t that many maple trees in the city for some reason (maybe because they drop a lot of leaves?), but they should have more because the leaves turn into this gorgeous red color. It’s so beautiful watching the leaves change color! Maple trees are my favorite.
